Job Title: R & D Technologist
Departmnet: Research & Development
Location: Canton, Massachusetts
Purpose of Position-
To support and assist in the development/production of the Global Flavor of the Month (FOM) program as well as additional market-specific/seasonal flavors and other new menu items that include ice cream and beverages.
What You’ll Be Working On-
- Assist in the development of Global Ice Cream and Beverages
- Recipe content development using ice cream to support social media posts
- Assist with multiple projects at once and be able to meet/exceed expectations and deliverable timelines
- Monitor and research culinary trends in the dessert category on an on-going basis to continue to bring new ideas to the innovation pipeline
Work with innovation team members to help create new menu items to fill the innovation pipeline - Maintain existing and develop new supplier relationships to keep the tool box full of new ideas and solutions for ice cream and menu innovation
Responsible for producing and ordering supplies to support ice cream photo and TV shoots - Work with team members to plan and execute tastings internally and off-site, both domestically and internationally
Leads all inventory management and general lab & equipment maintenance
What You’ll Need-
- Culinary and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years experience and general R&D laboratory experience
- Experience in the QSR industry a plus
- Experience with menu development and implementation a plus
- Excellent communication (oral and written), documentation, and computer skills and be able to use them within all levels of the company
- Have a good knowledge about food and the ability to taste and evaluate ice creams and other sweet treat desserts
