Dupont is hiring a Research Associate to join our Home and Personal Care Applications team. Successful candidates will work in our Palo Alto laboratories to design, develop, and deploy DuPont Nutrition and Biosciences’ Home and Personal Care products.

Eligibility: B.S. in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry.
key responsibilities:
• Utilize Biology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Chemistry expertise to support existing applications (Technical Service) within the Nutrition and Biosciences Home and Personal Care Business Unit and to develop new applications using commercially (or near commercially) available products.
• Generate technical data and provide bioanalytical and applications support for customers as required by the Home and Personal Care sales team.
• Understand experimental objectives, develop an effective work plan to accomplish those objectives, execute the experimental work plan, analyze the experimental results, and effectively communicate those results to team members, management and/or customers.
• The technical work will also be the basis for new intellectual property filings, peer reviewed journal articles and commercialization data packages.
• Interface with the Home and Personal Care sales team and their customers worldwide and deliver presentations for internal and external customers at scientific and marketing conventions.
• Self-starter, driving interactions across technical, sales and marketing functions.
• Interface with other Applications Technical Personnel, R&D technical staff and Nutrition and Biosciences management in the Americas region.
Experience:
- Experience with a wide range of bio-analytical equipment and biochemical assays.
- Knowledge of proper experimental design and data analysis.
- Demonstrated presentation skills and technical writing capabilities.
- Strong modern analytical skills preferentially with experience in the analyses of detergent components is a strong plus.
- The successful candidate must be motivated, creative, have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, and be capable of working independently or in a collaborative setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the desire and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team are also required
