Downstream Purification Scientist

Ecolab is seeking a Downstream Purification Scientist to develop chromatography processes and to advance technical platforms satisfying both business and customer needs. In this role, you will be responsible for performing and leading chromatography experiments for industrial purification of monoclonal antibodies. What You Will Do:
- Provide technical support by demonstrating strong theoretical and fundamental knowledge, specifically chromatography and downstream unit operations
- Routinely author protocols and reports for process development studies for purification of monoclonal antibodies
- Design, establish, and execute bench-scale applications experiments using chromatography systems
- Analyze samples using various analytical tools to determine product purity
- Develop a robust packing protocol for chromatography columns
- Maintain accurate records and interpret data to provide detailed information on experiment execution
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS required, MS or PhD in relevant fields preferred
- Minimum 3 years of proven chromatography and direct development experience
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in industrial purification process development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of fundamental physical/chemical properties
- Working knowledge of statistics
Annual or Hourly Compensation Range: $83,600.00 – $125,400.00
