Scientific Services and Support
Location: EMBL Heidelberg
Your Role
The new staff member will provide recombinant protein production services to the user community. Responsibilities include discussing project needs, developing strategies for construct design, expression, and purification, assessing protein characteristics, documenting protocols and results, managing lab organization, and training users and visiting scientists.
Requirements
- Degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related scientific area
- Expertise in recombinant protein production
- Technical skills in chromatography platforms
- Knowledge of chromatographic techniques
- Desire to stay up-to-date with field developments
- Organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects
- Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Cell culture experience
- Expertise in protein expression in eukaryotic cells
- Good working knowledge of various cloning methods
