Job Description
Kimley-Horn is seeking Environmental Science students to join their North Austin, Texas office as interns. This internship is designed for individuals pursuing a degree in environmental science or related fields. Interns will have the opportunity to solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to help realize the vision for future built environments. The role also involves developing familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as gaining knowledge in areas such as natural resource regulations and water quality programs.
Environmental Science Internship – Key Responsibilities
- Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce clients’ visions for the future built environment.
- Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and clients’ practices, procedures, and standards.
- Gain knowledge in natural resource regulations, water quality regulatory programs, wetlands identification, botany, soil science, ecology, wildlife biology, and geographic information systems.
- Participate in travel and fieldwork as required (approximately 10-30%).
Eligibility Criteria Required For Environmental Science Internship
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or related majors.
