About The Role
Sygnature Discovery is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scientist to join their team. The primary focus of this role will be to perform histology procedures, with additional responsibilities in molecular techniques. This is an excellent opportunity to begin or further your career in the biological sciences, working in a dynamic research environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform histology procedures including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and microscopy
- Assist in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, Western blotting, and RNA/DNA extraction
- Carry out immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence assays
- Assist in the analysis and interpretation of experimental data
- Ensure laboratory workspaces and equipment are clean, maintained, and meet safety standards
- Keep accurate and organized records of experiments and results
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists
- Follow all relevant health and safety regulations and procedures within the laboratory
Key Requirements
- Suitable experience in a university or industrial background and/or a degree in biology, biomedical science, biochemistry, or related field
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail with good organizational skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
