Eligibility Criteria:

  • B.S. in Science, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related field required
  • 1-3 years experience in food industry required
  • 2 years’ experience within Regulatory, Quality, or Research and Development, CPG industry preferred
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite

About the Role:

The Product Integrity Specifications Specialist is responsible for developing and revising the product and ingredient specifications for the purposes of formula creation, labeling, procurement accuracy, and regulatory compliance. This position will be a part of the R&D group, working closely with Product Development and Regulatory on bringing in new ingredients and recipes, while working to continuously improve internal processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with R&D Product Development, Regulatory, Commercialization, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure raw material and finished product specifications are accurate, compliant with regulations, and clearly captured in recipe management systems.
  • Creates and maintains Ferrero Internal Specifications and Technical Documentation in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyzes supplier documents to ensure there are no discrepancies in data within Internal Specifications.
  • Act as local Product Integrity representative and ensure that internal Ferrero standards are implemented and applied consistently
  • Maintains an understanding of compliance requirements and identifies gaps in existing documentation.
  • Makes needed revisions to specifications and technical documentation in a timely manner and broadcasts with relevant stakeholders (procurement, quality, commercialization, operations, etc.) to ensure on-time project progression.
  • Assist the product development process (new and reformulated products) to ensure regulatory and business requirements are met.
  • Works across functions and independently communicates with all functional and operating groups on specification and labeling related and compliance matters.
  • Grows internal specification team capabilities including process creation, process optimization, and team coaching & training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
