Bioinformatics Analyst Job Opportunity
About the Role: As a Bioinformatics Analyst at Foresight Diagnostics, you will be responsible for analyzing sequencing data to deliver clinical diagnostic results. This role involves maintaining existing workflows, developing new processes, and collaborating with various teams within the company. Whether working onsite, hybrid, or remote, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission.
What You Will Bring:
- BA/BS or MS degree in Biology, Computer Science or a related field, and a passion for molecular biology or bioinformatics
- Strong programming ability in Python and/or other languages
- Knowledge of software version control (git, GitHub)
- Experience with data analysis and visualization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for both scientific and general audiences
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow predefined processes
What You Will Do:
- Process Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data
- Support molecular biologists in experiments and product development
- Troubleshoot NGS processing issues and enhance codebases
- Assess and report data quality for NGS workflows
