Job Description
The Diabetes Research organization at Lilly is seeking a highly motivated individual for associate scientist jobs. This role involves contributing to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics for type 1 diabetes. The successful candidate will utilize a strong foundation in disease biology and innovative experimental approaches to generate high-quality data, supporting target validation and therapeutic discovery efforts.
Freshers Biology Job – Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cell-based and molecular biology assays, including cell viability, ELISA, and functional assays.
- Process ex vivo tissue samples and perform immunofluorescence analysis to characterize tissue and cellular phenotypes.
- Culture and manipulate stem cell-derived islets, including preparation of cell pellets for in vivo studies.
- Record, analyze, and interpret experimental data, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate findings through written reports and oral presentations to project teams.
- Collaborate with scientists across teams to advance research objectives.
Eligibility Criteria Required For Freshers Biology Job
- B.S. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
- 0-3+ years of industry work experience.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated laboratory skills, including aseptic technique.
- Hands-on experience with tissue culture and molecular biology assays.
- Experience with ELISA, immunofluorescence, and cryosectioning techniques.
- Experience with in vivo models of diabetes and metabolic disease.
