Haleon Internship Singapore: Job Description
The intern will have the opportunity to support ongoing medical-led projects within the Southeast Asia Taiwan (SEAT) Medical and Scientific Affairs team. With assigned mentors, the Intern will learn various aspects of Medical and Scientific Affairs, including claims support, scientific literature reviews, evidence generation, consumer insights, medical area governance, publication preparations, and handling medical information requests. Through the Haleon internship Singapore placement, students gain supervised exposure to these medical affairs workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support ongoing medical-led projects and workstreams related to Wellness/Oral Health/OTC categories.
- Participate in end-to-end development of category and product claims.
- Engage in literature reviews and scientific analysis to add value to innovation projects.
- Receive training on related platforms/systems for preparation, approval, and review of scientific documents.
- Learn to generate scientific documents such as Claim Support Summaries and responses to Health Authorities.
Learning Outcomes
- Experience medical affairs processes and their role in the R&D ecosystem.
- Participate as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced Consumer Health organization.
- Learn various processes and platforms that support medical affairs activities.
- Understand high-level scientific and business aspects of categories such as Wellness/Oral Health/OTC.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational background in Life Sciences, or related field (undergraduates completed Year 2 or Year 3 when starting the role).
- Proficient in IT, software/systems, database systems, and presentation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication and teamwork skills.
- Agility and high motivation to learn.
- Passionate about science with good interpersonal abilities.
- Organized, methodical, and proactive with a positive attitude towards process improvement.
- Aware of and able to work within culturally diverse teams.
