About the Company:
Dordt University, located at 700 7th Street Northeast, Sioux Center, IA, USA, is currently seeking a health sciences faculty member. As a member of the Biology department, this faculty member will be responsible for teaching courses in human anatomy and physiology and also serving as the Chief Pre-Health Advisor. The role involves connecting students and the institution with healthcare professionals, businesses, professional organizations, and other networks. Dordt University offers various degrees and program tracks in Biology, as well as courses and support in other degree programs and pre-professional tracks.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to Reformational teaching and scholarship
- Support student recruitment and retention
- Engage in campus and community service
- Provide Core program support
- Participate in ongoing professional and program development
- Teach introductory and advanced courses in anatomy and physiology
- Possibly teach additional health science related sub-discipline courses
- Engage students in research or other scholarly activities
Qualifications:
- Earned doctoral degree in biology (PhD) or a health science-related field (MD, DPT, DO, etc.)
- Master’s degree in one of these areas or equivalent experience
- Experience in teaching preferred
- Commitment to excellence in college-level teaching
