Required Experience:
IFF Microbiology Technologist
- Associates degree in Microbiology or science-related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a micro-laboratory environment comparable to IFF

Job Description
IFF Microbiology Technologist

- As part of the Quality Control department, the Microbiology Technologist will be responsible for testing finished products and raw materials. This position will execute microbiological analyses based on standard operating procedures and will be responsible for a combination of sample preparation, microbiological test interpretation and reporting in support of production.
All analyses will need to be executed under strict deadlines. Additional responsibilities include:
- Receive and prepare raw, in-process, and finished product samples for microbiological analysis
- Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products
- perform testing using agar plates and 3M Petrifilm
- Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents and medium
- Perform swab testing of production equipment and facilities
- perform water and air testing
- Clean and sterilize lab equipment
- Operate testing equipment (Scales, Autoclave, Masterclave, Pipettes, Vidas)
- Other duties as assigned
