They are currently seeking an outstanding individual to join our Research and Development organization. The position will be based in New Century, KS, US. This state-of-the-art facility develops and supports enzyme-based solutions that specifically target the development of food products and applications. As part of this, we are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Research Associate, with experience in biochemistry and food science. This individual is expected to interact with other R&D teams, the Health & Biosciences and Nourish Divisions, as well as customers.

Eligibility Criteria:
- MSc degree or B.S. with 2-5 years of practical laboratory experience in Biochemistry, Food Science, or Chemical/Bioprocess Engineering in an academic or industrial setting.
- Capability of routine chemical/enzymatic analysis and assays with good reproducibility is required.
- Familiarity with theoretical and practical aspects of biochemistry/enzymology and protein structure function is desirable
- Good record-keeping skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities and the desire to work in a multidisciplinary team are required.
- The successful candidate must be motivated and creative with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Capable of working both independently and in a collaborative setting.
Self-starter with good organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Development of biochemical and enzymatic assays to predict enzyme performance in food systems
- The implementation of such assays in low- and high-throughput screening
Support in lab scale and pilot plant scale food applications across a number of industries - Investigation on enzyme function with real substrates in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Ability to work across diverse food application areas
