Overview:
The person in this role will assist in day-to-day experiments, including mouse work, tissue culture, flow cytometry, and other molecular techniques. They will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment, monitoring experiments, making observations, and recording results, as well as general lab upkeep.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, adjust, calibrate, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment.
- Clean, maintain, and prepare supplies and work areas.
- Conduct standardized biological, microbiological, or biochemical tests and laboratory analyses.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and write reports.
- Participate in grant application process and manuscript preparation.
- Monitor laboratory work for compliance with safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in biology or chemistry is required.
- Knowledge in biology, chemistry, or medicine preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to address work-related issues logically.
