Under limited supervision, this position will perform a variety of microbiological tests to assess conformance to applicable standards. Collection of USP Purified Water and Environmental Monitoring (EM) samples for facility assessment may be performed. Good manufacturing, documentation, and laboratory practices (cGxP) are required.

Eligbility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or equivalent.
- (3-5) years related laboratory experience
Preferred:
- cGMP Microbiology laboratory experience
- Microbial Limits Testing per USP<61> & USP<62>
- Media preparation and growth promotion testing
Key Responsibilities:
- Test raw materials, finished products, water, and EM samples for microbial quality using standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Interpret and report test results. Maintain records in accordance with SOP and cGMP requirements. Conduct peer review of laboratory data.
- Perform microorganism identifications using Gram stains, microscopic evaluations, and validated diagnostic systems.
- Prepare and maintain microbial isolates, media, and reagents used for testing.
- Participate in the investigation of questionable or out-of-specification results.
- Complete routine cleaning, housekeeping tasks, sample login, and consumables/media receipt and storage.
- Conduct method suitability and instrument qualifications/validations
