Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Scientist to join the Target Protein Sciences team in Spring House, PA. As part of our Biologics Discovery group, we are dedicated to developing biotherapeutic molecules to improve patient outcomes.
About the Team:
The Target Protein Sciences team is a vital part of the Biologics Discovery organization at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. We are searching for a dynamic scientist to lead membrane protein production efforts and contribute to the advancement of our biotherapeutics pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support membrane protein expression, optimization, and purification
- Conduct protein production, purification, and characterization
- Quality check of membrane proteins for biotherapeutics development
- Collaborate in a multi-team environment across various therapeutic areas
- Contribute to internal and external membrane protein production efforts
Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum of BS Degree with at least 4 years of academic/industry experience or MS Degree with a minimum of 2 years.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Protein expression construct design and optimization knowledge
- Protein purification experience and analytical characterization skills
- Mammalian and/or insect cell culture expertise
- Strong communication skills for collaboration
Preferred:
- Experience with membrane protein expression and optimization
- Proficiency in protein purification optimization and reconstitutions
- Operational knowledge of AKTA FPLC and analytical HPLC instruments
- Experience in DNA/RNA constructs generation for antibody discovery support
