Job Title: Microbiology Technician
Location: Stone Mountain, GA
Employment Type: Regular
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Prepare samples for analysis by recording, weighing, and blending
- Track client and sample numbers by writing identification onto plates
- Pipette sample solution and pour agar for growth process
- Set up equipment and materials for analysis
- Perform housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and sanitized
Your Profile
No previous laboratory experience is required as full training will be provided. Ideal candidates will have experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, food industry, food service, or retail. High School Diploma and 1 year of relevant work experience are required.
Required Skills
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
- Basic knowledge of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Work Environment
The role involves working in a laboratory setting with proper lighting and temperature control. Occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, and materials may occur. Safety equipment such as gloves and laboratory coat may be required.
