Join our innovative R&D team as a Junior Scientist specializing in Cell Biology within the field of Animal Nutrition & Health, focusing on Host-Microbiome Interaction. Your role will involve conducting cutting-edge research on the animal gastrointestinal tract structure and functionality using various cell-based assays. Skills in cell culture and immunoassays are crucial, with experience in 3D and organoid-based assays highly desirable.
You will be a vital part of our exploration into host-microbiome interactions through advanced in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo studies.
Your key responsibilities
- Perform routine and advanced cell culture techniques, including primary cell isolation, maintenance, and differentiation
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments related to cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemical assays
- Stay updated on the latest research in cell-based technologies
- Support team in labwork, including sample processing in animal trials
- Effectively communicate results through presentations and technical reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners

- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in natural science/life science or related disciplines
- Experience in cell biology and immunobiology
- Willingness to participate in field activities

Type of employment: Full time for 38.5 hours/week, unlimited contract
Minimum annual gross salary: €42,000 on full-time basis
