Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Lab Microbiologist at Certis Biologicals in Columbia, MD. The Lab Microbiologist will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, quality control, and ensuring the proper use of laboratory equipment. They will have a strong understanding of microbiology and will be responsible for maintaining quality assurance standards.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and culturing gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria
- Good experiences with culturing Bacillus species will be preferred
- Laboratory skills, including conducting tests and operating laboratory equipment
- Experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance
- Strong knowledge of Microbiology and hands-on experiences with various microbes
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Experience in the agricultural or biotechnology industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in an industrial setting
