Job Description
Additionally, Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team in Brentwood, TN. The role involves determining the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria, performing routine and complex technical procedures according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures, and monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. The technician will also prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls and report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care. - Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

Labcorp Laboratory Jobs: Eligibility Criteria
- Associate’s degree in a Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
- 3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience or a MLT degree.
Required Skills
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred).
- Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures.
- Experience working in a high-volume laboratory environment.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems.
- High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs.
