In this role, you will work with a team dedicated to “Improving Health, Improving Lives” at our Yakima, WA location.
Pay Range:
$26.00 – $37.00 hourly
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science, Medical Technology
- 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience preferred
- ASCP or AMT certification or eligibility to sit for BOC
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems a plus
- High level of attention to detail with strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to SOPs
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report test results accurately and timely
- Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies
- Assist with specimen processing when needed
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm; overtime and rotating weekends may be required
