Position Overview: Position Title: Analyst I
Business Title: Laboratory Analyst I, Metals
Entity: Consumer Products Services Division
Department: Galbraith
Location: Knoxville, TN
Reports to: Metals Laboratory Supervisor
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Hours Worked: Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week (flexible schedule as needed)
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Preparing samples, standards, reagents, and solutions.
- Maintaining a clean work area and conducting instrument maintenance.
- Documenting analytical procedures and results.
- Complying with company policies and regulations.
- Following safety and quality guidelines.
Skills & Proficiencies of a :
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Good interpersonal, technical writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or in a team.
- Detail-oriented with basic computer skills.
- Positive attitude and self-motivated.
Education and Experience:
- Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related field
- Experience: Minimum of one year in analytical chemistry laboratory preferred
