We are currently looking for a Research Specialist to join our dynamic team. This unique position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research projects focusing on pediatric cancer.
Job Description
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing in vivo model systems for scientific projects related to drug research and basic cancer biology. Specific responsibilities will include managing mouse experiments, maintaining mouse colonies, training new lab personnel, and contributing to ongoing scientific projects through molecular biology techniques.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform and manage mouse-related experiments
- Train new lab personnel in relevant techniques
- Document, compile, and analyze lab operations
- Assist in writing and submitting protocols for review
- Contribute to basic wet-lab techniques
- Attend team meetings
- Other related tasks as required
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor or masterโs degree in the life sciences or other relevant discipline
- Experience: Bachelorโs degree with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Skills and Abilities: Prior experience with mouse models of cancer, molecular biology, and mammalian tissue culture. Exceptional organization, attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to learn in a self-motivating environment are essential.
