Assistant Scientist, In Vitro Metabolism
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Job Description: We are seeking an Assistant Scientist to join IQVIA Laboratories at Indianapolis, IN. The role involves performing routine analysis and laboratory testing procedures to gather data from pre-clinical and/or clinical specimens, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing and documenting analytical procedures following methods and regulatory standards.
- Identifying and escalating any abnormal results or quality issues promptly.
- Assisting in writing laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Training junior staff and contributing to onboarding procedures.
- Performing calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory setting.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory quality systems and procedures.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with pipetting and laboratory equipment.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control practices.
- Experience in working with automation or specialized equipment.
- Ability to perform complex laboratory calculations.
