Job Description
AbbVie is seeking a highly motivated Scientist I to join our Analytical Development team at AbbVie Bioresearch Center in Worcester, MA. This position involves working within the Biomolecular Interaction Group, focusing on method development and implementation of various immunoassays to support product and process development for biological entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sample preparation
- Performance of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs)
- Data acquisition and statistical analysis
- Reporting results to stakeholders
- Assistance with method development and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in life sciences or chemical/biochemical engineering or related disciplines
- 5-7+ (BS), or 2-5+ (MS) years of work experience with knowledge of standard ELISA techniques
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of ELISA technology to effectively interpret and troubleshoot is desirable
- Proficiency with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is desirable
- Excellent written communication, oral communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Hardworking and motivated to drive both efficiency and quality
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, and appropriate handling of materials
