Role Overview:
As a member of the Process Science and Technology team within Microbial R&D at Lonza Visp, you will drive the development of microbial upstream cultivation processes harnessing the potential of microbial production strains for biopharmaceutical applications. This role entails a focus on (bio)process modeling, data management, and data engineering. Join a dynamic team to tackle challenges in a growing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take end-to-end responsibility for innovation projects
- Drive development and implementation of digital and modeling tools
- Represent R&D projects to internal & external stakeholders
- Support technology transfer to Lonza’s Microbial CDMO services
Key Requirements:
- PhD in biochemical engineering, biotechnology, biochemistry, or related field. Master’s degree with relevant work experience may be considered
- Proven track record in microbial bioprocessing and process modeling
- Experience in data management, data engineering, and scientific project management
- Team spirit, initiative, and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a lean-agile mindset
