Job Description
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a prestigious biomedical and hospital research center affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. This position is within Dr. Ferri’s Laboratory, a part of the Thoracic Surgery and Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer Research Laboratories at the MUHC.
Position Summary
The Laboratory Technician will play a vital role in Esophageal/Gastric Cancer Research, working on various projects involving human-derived organoid models, genomics, high-throughput drug screens, and more.
General Duties
- Execute laboratory projects and experiments
- Perform experimental procedures and record results
- Maintain records and databases
- Assist in report and manuscript preparation
- Collect and analyze data
- Review relevant literature
Education/Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Immunology, or related field. Work Experience: 1-2 years
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or in teams
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask
- Experience in cell culture and troubleshooting procedures
