Microbiologist Job Description

  • Science-related Associate Degree plus 1 year of appropriate college laboratory studies and 1 year of college mathematics, along with 2 years of laboratory experience.
  • OR
  • 4 years of experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritional products.
  • Experience working in food, pharmaceutical, medical device manufacturing facilities, or hospital/medical laboratories.

Preferred

  • Science-related Bachelor’s Degree with at least 1 year of appropriate college laboratory studies and 1 year of college mathematics.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques.
  • Experience in Gram staining procedures.
