Microbiology Job Description
Microbiology role responsibilities in this analyst job focus on performing routine and ad-hoc Quality Control (QC) microbiology activities. The QC Microbiology Analyst performs environmental monitoring, critical utilities sampling, microbiological testing, and documentation while working according to GMP standards in graded and non-graded environments.
The successful candidate will accurately report testing results within required timelines using LIMS and client Quality Management Systems while ensuring compliance with laboratory procedures and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Microbiology job applicants should possess the following qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Microbiology or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience.
- GMP, aseptic technique, and cleanroom experience.
- Strong microbiology knowledge.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

- Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
Microbiology Job – Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and ad-hoc clean utility and environmental monitoring sampling.
- Collect viable and non-viable samples, including water, steam, gas, and particle counts.
- Conduct raw material sampling, inspection, and LIMS/SAP data entry.
- Log, label, and document samples in compliance with GMP requirements.
- Investigate sampling and testing anomalies and record laboratory results.
- Prepare and dispatch samples for external testing.
- Monitor incubation, assess microbial growth, and manage microbial identification.
- Support audits, documentation, equipment maintenance, and calibration.
- Maintain laboratory consumables and ensure HS&E and GMP compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional laboratory duties as required
