Eligibility Criteria:
- BS/MS (Biophysics, Chromatography, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related science)
- Experience in performing biophysical characterization with a focus on particles measurements
- Experience with spectroscopy and light scattering
- Experience with HPLC (SEC, RP, HIC)
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a highly dynamic environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Creative/innovative/problem solver
- Preferred: Experience with nanoparticle formulations
- Preferred: Familiarity with nucleic acid and protein chemistry, and analytical characterization of biomolecules

Moderna is seeking a Research Associate/Sr. Research Associate for a position based at their Cambridge/Norwood, MA sites. The individual in this role will be a highly-skilled, talented and motivated analyst. He/she will participate in performing biochemical and biophysical characterization (HPLC, cIEF, light scattering, particle characterization, spectroscopy, calorimetry) of lipid nanoparticles, lipids and mRNA. He/she will also participate in the coordination of characterization/comparability studies and compile the data packages into reports to support the advancement of Moderna’s development candidates. The individual will work with other RAs and Scientists within the Analytical Development, Analytical Operations, and Platform Analytics teams. The successful candidate must have BS with 0-1 years industry experience for RA level and BS with at least 3 years of industry experience, or MS with at least 1 years of industry experience (Biophysics, Chromatography, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related science), developing and performing analytical, molecular, biochemical, biophysical and/or cellular assays for the SRA level.
