The Role:
Moderna Freshers Microbiology Job
Reporting to the Manager of Quality Control (Microbiology), the Quality Control Microbiology Specialist will support microbiological investigations, technical review of microbiological data, and execute on microbial risk assessments. The QC Microbiology Specialist uses expert knowledge of cGMP regulations and QC Microbiology processes to drive improvement initiatives within QC Microbiology operations.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
- Review executed QC test records for product release and in-monitoring, including the investigation and resolution of deviations, OOS and OOT observations.
- Coordinate QC Microbiology environmental monitoring activities in support of production.
- Assist in Quality Metric review processes and reporting, assess data for adverse trends, develop solutions and oversee implementation as appropriate.
Conduct microbial risk assessments. - Investigate and resolve issues related to system deficiencies and equipment/assay troubleshooting.
- Moderna Freshers Microbiology Job Support CAPA’s and Change Control within the department.
- Responsible for initiation of document reviews, periodic reviews and documentation revisions as needed.
- Authors Equipment and Method SOPs, Instrument Qualification documentation, Computer system validation documents and method lifecycle documents.
- Participate in continuous improvements of quality systems (procedures and systems) to improve organization effectiveness, quality assurance compliance, and regulatory and other requirements.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Moderna Freshers Microbiology Job
- BS in a relevant scientific discipline with a minimum of 2-5 years (or MS in a relevant scientific discipline with 0-2 years) Quality Control experience in a cGMP organization with a focus in Microbiology
- Experience with the microbiological evaluation of Cell Banks
- Experience with development and execution of microbiological hold time studies
- Familiarity with relevant and current FDA, EU, ICH guidelines and regulations
- Demonstrated knowledge of microbiological method development and qualifications
- Excellent troubleshooting and ability to communicate issues in a scientifically sound and understandable way
- Ability to efficiently prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
