Job Description

Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Scientist, Molecular Biology Tools on a temporary contract until February 2026. As a member of the Molecular Biology Tools R&D team, you will be responsible for performing molecular biology experiments with the goal of finding the best approaches for various DNA cloning applications. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated and able to handle independent tasks with an understanding of how those tasks tie into the bigger picture, in support of product development projects.

Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory bench work focusing on testing reagents for development, improvement, and troubleshooting of DNA assembly technologies for Molecular Cloning.
• Work closely with R&D teams to execute product development projects meeting customer needs.
• Independently develop, revise, and review SOPs and quality records.
• Ensure a safe work environment, including proper training in laboratory safety procedures.
• Assist with managing required reagents, laboratory environment, and equipment.
• Analyze trends in Molecular Cloning research field and support continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology.
• Related experience in basic molecular biology techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable and flexible with changes to working environment.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and develop skills.
• Team player open to feedback and collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits

Monthly salary: €2,183.33–€3,270.83 before taxes plus additional benefits.
