Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
•Maintain quality assurance programs and operate state of the art instrumentation.
•Will operate and calibrate test equipment (pH, turbidity, conductivity meters, autoclaves, microscopes, etc.).
•Will conduct chromatographic and spectroscopic analyses for bromate and others as required.
•Perform necessary wet chemistry procedures and train other technicians on their operation.
•Management of Internal Control Plans specific to chemical instrumentation and procedures.
•Participate in Microbiology Proficiency Testing Programs.
•Ensure that all microbiological lab procedures adhere to Nestle LI’s procedures, FDA compliance and other regulatory requirements.
•Execute microbiology and chemistry tests on raw materials, water sources, in-process samples, environmental samples, and finished products in accordance with Nestle requirements
•Record microbiology and chemistry results, interpret data, and formulate action plans to establish corrective and preventive measures
•Operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments as required by the ICP / calibration program
•Communicate microbiology and chemistry results effectively to all levels of the organization
•Flexibility and the desire to work in a fast-paced factory environment are critical for success.
•The Poland Spring laboratory operates 7 days per week.
•The work schedule is day shift schedule that includes weekend coverage (Sunday – Wednesday 0700 – 1700).
•Vacation coverage is required
