Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years’ supervisory experience in quality assurance, compliance role in a food manufacturing, food science or related environment.
Position Summary
As the QA Supervisor, you are responsible for the development, certification, compliance, ongoing sustainability, and continuous improvement of the factory’s Food Safety Management System (QMS, ISO 22000, ISO TS 22002). You will manage the factory’s Quality System/Program to ensure compliance to Nestle, Nestle Purina, factory and regulatory requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive the Factory Internal Auditing Program to assure compliance to standards. Create and update the cross-reference documents for QMS, FSSC 22000. Ensure current corporate FSMS template is used for internal auditing.
- Create and maintain the Internal Audit Plan and associated procedures and forms. Review audit reports and maintain Audit – Books to facilitate outside review by corporate 3rd parties. Ensure a base of certified Internal Auditors with factory-trained internal auditors are sufficient and effective in meeting the factory’s internal auditing needs for compliance to the standards. – – Perform local audits of Quality and Food Safety Standards. Prepare and provide support for Operational Assessments and Internal Audit Verifications.
- Facilitate the training of Internal Auditors. This training should include the use of reference materials and source documents in preparing for audits, the conducting of opening and closing audit meetings, proper documentation and use of maintenance of the factory CAPA workbook.
- Coordination and preparation for surveillance and certification audit associated with QMS, FSMS, and FSSC 22000. Provide direct support for external audits including Intertek, CA, NMA, Regulatory, and other Assessments as needed.
- Administer the factory CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Action Program). Maintain local SOP and program database, and provide training as needed.
Assist with SAP activities as assigned as appropriate for the Quality Functional Expert for SAP. - Facilitate annual required QA/Food Safety training for all factory personnel. Maintain training plan and programs for QA/FS.
Provide administrative support for ISO 9001 and NCE Q-Compliance as appropriate.
