Cancer Genomics Job Description
In this Childhood Cancer Genomics role, the selected candidate will join the research team of Dr. Sarra Ryan, utilizing ultra-long-reads and hybrid sequencing approaches to investigate highly repetitive DNA sequences associated with genomic instability in childhood cancer. The position involves identifying novel genetic variations in underexplored genomic regions and their relation to specific forms of genomic instability and childhood cancer development. Collaboration with internal and external partners will be essential to develop laboratory protocols for producing ultra-long reads and sequencing data from various technologies.
Eligibility Criteria
- Honours degree (for Research Assistant) or PhD (for Research Associate) in molecular biology, bioinformatics, or cancer genetics.
Salary: Research Assistant: £33,951 to £35,608 per annum; Research Associate: £36,636 per annum
