Job Title: Associate Expert, Science & Technology – Process Analytics
Location: San Diego, CA
Eligibility Criteria:
What you’ll bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering or related scientific discipline or 2 years of equivalent education/experience may be accepted.
• Experience/knowledge of basic molecular biology and biochemical techniques, including qPCR, ddPCR, nucleic acid isolation, ELISA, HPLC, CE-SDS, and SDS-PAGE. Experience with AAV, Lentivirus a plus but not required.
• Detail oriented with critical thinking skills.
• Position requires the ability to work collaboratively across a dynamic scientific environment requiring excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
What you’ll be doing:
• Perform routine sample testing and data analysis in support of project objectives from multiple teams.
• Liaise with other functional groups to plan, prioritize sample submission and testing.
• Participate in assay troubleshooting, assay qualification, and assay onboarding under the supervision of an experienced scientist.
• Capable of evaluating and summarizing data using analytical methods.
• Look for opportunities to implement operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Appropriately document experimental procedures and results according to established guidelines.
• Adhere to all EH&S policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Other related duties as assigned.
