Responsibilities:
- Providing technical leadership for enhancing plant-based ingredients and products
- Implementing enzymatic technology in customers’ products
- Troubleshooting customer formulation and processing challenges
- Optimizing plant-based meat and dairy alternative formulations and processes
- Sharing knowledge on enzyme applications through various platforms
- Collaborating with internal teams and customers
Potentially relevant experience:
- Minimum BS degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline with at least 6 years of experience researching food materials -or- MS degree + 2 years experience -or- Ph.D. Job title will be Scientist or Senior Scientist.
- Interest in working towards commercial goals within a science-oriented organization
- Experience with plant-based food and ingredient applications and familiarity with opportunity areas
- Experience in experimental science, including food science, food processing, chemical analysis, and statistics/data analysis proven by your ability to problem solve and offer innovative and viable solutions.
- Experience working in laboratory, pilot scale and manufacturing plant environments, as well as being productive in meeting and desktop environments.
- Demonstrated skills in building customer relationships and serving customer technical service needs in collaboration with sales account managers.
- Excellence in presenting technical findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Expected Salary Range: $90,000 – $115,000
