Position Summary: Scientific Programmer
We have an exciting opportunity for a Scientific Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role as a Bioinformatician for histopathology image analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Setting up an analysis pipeline for processing raw instrument output and conducting bioinformatics analysis
- Curating sequence data, ensuring data quality control, and communicating with investigators
- Performing tasks such as mapping to reference genomes, cancer variant detection, and ChIP-seq analysis
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should hold a minimum of a MS in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related areas. Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems, shell scripting, and programming languages like Perl, Python, and Java is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong computing skills
- Interest in biological and clinical problems
