About the Internship Program:
At Cytokinetics, we offer an annual Internship Program aimed at supporting the next generation of biotech professionals. Through this program, we provide students and recent graduates with opportunities to contribute to meaningful projects, gaining valuable experience and insights in the biopharmaceutical industry.
This is a paid internship based at our South San Francisco headquarters for approximately 12 weeks starting in late May/early June.
Role Overview:
The intern will work within the cardiomyopathy section in the Cardiovascular Research Area, focusing on projects related to the use of aficamten in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). Responsibilities include trial design, implementation, analysis, and support functions across clinical, biometric, regulatory, and operational areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting clinical and pre-clinical studies
- Verifying research data
- Working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Assisting in the collection and analysis of study data
- Contributing to team meetings and project timelines
- Developing and delivering professional presentations
Requirements:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program as a junior- or senior-level student
- Pursuing a degree in basic sciences, pre-med, public health, epidemiology, and/or social and behavioral sciences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good numeracy, literacy, and organizational skills
Salary Pay Range:
$22 – $45 USD
