The PepsiCo beverage Science and Technology team is seeking an associate scientist in the area of colloid and interface science which covers 100% of our beverage portfolio and will continue as we transform the portfolio in reduced-sugar beverages. Emulsions represent over 90 % of our beverage business, technical competency in this area directly impact our bottom line and also the chance of success for innovation.

Qualifications/Requirements
A master in food science, chemistry, physico-chemistry or biochemistry, or bachelor in the related areas with industry experience, knowledge of interfacial and emulsion technology a plus. In addition, the candidate should have:

- Good hands-on skills and ability to learn new technology and instrumentation
- Ability to leverage technology from other applications/industries
As a Scientist in the Science and Technology team, you will utilize your knowledge in chemistry, microbiology, engineering and other sciences to study the principles of underlying the processing and deterioration of foods. You will also gain exposure to discovering new ingredient sources and research new ways to make processed foods safe, palatable and healthy for our consumers. You will lead global projects where your work will be making a global impact on our snacks and beverages.

The candidate will be required to
- Work independently to conduct research on emulsions and bubbles.
- Collaborate with other internal innovation teams to impart interfacial science aspects in research activities (examples โ Sugar reduction, equipment design)
- Conduct experiments with various tensiometers and perform lab and pilot-scale emulsion and foam testing.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop critical business solutions.
- Design and carry out hypothesis-based experiments to enable product innovation
