The Role:
The Bioinformatics and Computational Biology group at Life Edit supports and interacts with all areas of the company. We are looking for a motivated scientist with a background in genomics and sequencing technology to help design and analyze large datasets related to gene editing experiments. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a successful therapeutics company from an early stage.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize analysis workflows for NGS data
- Develop novel Bioinformatics methods for answering platform and biological questions
- Work with computational biologists and engineers to optimize pipelines
- Proper documentation of code and analyses
- Communicate results to various audiences
Requirements:
- PhD with 3+ years post-PhD experience in bioinformatics and data science
- Experience in computational biology, genomics, and high-throughput sequencing
- Expertise in analyzing and interpreting human genomics datasets
- Proficiency in programming languages (R, Python) and relevant tools
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and excellent communication skills
If you have experience in CRISPR editing, AWS, SQL, and Unix environments, it’s a plus!
