Our Non-Clinical Bioanalysis group is looking for a motivated R&D Associate to closely follow instructions regarding the execution of experiments under direct oversight. Associates are expected to have a basic understanding of general laboratory techniques, such as pipetting and making solutions, in addition to limited experience performing immunoassays. R&D Associates have minimal decision-making capability and require direct supervision on work assigned.

Elibgility Criteria: 

This role requires a bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in biology or a related field with 0-2 years of laboratory experience. Experience with Immunoassays (ELISA, MSD, and ADA) a plus. Knowledge of ELN, LIMS, SoftMax, and GLP is helpful, but training will be provided if necessary. Proficient with commonly used software applications.

A DAY IN THE LIFE MIGHT LOOK LIKE:

• Trains on manual bioanalytical methods under direct supervision.
• Performs sample analysis for preclinical toxicology and pharmacokinetic studies under supervision.
• Performs a limited number of assays and plates within the same day.
• Interprets data (with the help of a supervisor as needed) in order to assess plate acceptance criteria and determine appropriate sample dilutions. Reports to supervisor any assay-related failures that may have occurred.
• Executes basic operations in LIMS (requesting samples, building analysis plates, tracking sample movement and data entry). Exports and presents data to supervisor for review. Utilizes the ELN for data documentation purposes.
• Maintains GLP documentation for all laboratory work in accordance with FDA regulations and company SOPs.
• Involved in the preparation of reagents and buffers for use within the group. Assists in maintaining GLP compliance in the laboratory.
  Re-orders laboratory supplies and reagents when needed.
• Effectively operates a range of laboratory instrumentation.
• May perform instrument verifications and/or maintenance if required.
• Maintains cleanliness of individual and communal work areas.
• Learns and complies with the safety requirements of his/her laboratory. Recognizes potential safety problems and takes action to correct them.
• Capable of managing time effectively.
• Requires the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  Communicate with a supervisor as well as other analysts.
