Research Associate Job Description
As a Research Associate, the successful candidate will join the Antibody Discovery & Lead Optimization (ADLO) department at Genmab. This role involves contributing to the Accelerated Binder Identification process, utilizing advanced display technologies to support the discovery of novel antibodies against therapeutic targets. The candidate will leverage their expertise in molecular biology and laboratory automation to generate high-quality experimental data and enhance established workflows.
Eligibility Criteria
Research Associate Job candidates should have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience with DNA/RNA handling, PCR, RT-PCR, and NGS library preparation (Illumina preferred).
- Strong laboratory research, documentation, and data analysis skills.
- Ability to independently perform experiments and communicate scientific findings.
- Excellent teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
- Experience with Ribosome Display, Phage Display, or Yeast Display.
- Knowledge of Tecan liquid handling systems.
- Experience with FACS.
Research Associate Job – Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute, analyze, interpret, and document experiments within assigned research activities.
- Perform laboratory activities related to the Accelerated Binder Identification process using automated Ribosome Display technologies.
- Execute Tecan-based workflows and contribute to process improvements that enhance robustness, efficiency, and data quality.
- Generate high-quality experimental data and communicate observations, challenges, and proposed improvements to the team.
- Contribute to the optimization and standardization of laboratory processes and automated workflows.
- Present experimental results and scientific conclusions during team and departmental meetings.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of experimental work using the electronic laboratory notebook (ELN).
- Collaborate with colleagues to support business continuity and broaden knowledge through cross-training on additional laboratory workflows.
