The incumbent will assist the Principal Investigator in research focused on studying the role of non-coding RNAs in stress and aging pathways. Responsibilities include conducting experiments, data analysis, and contributing to scientific publications.
- Theoretical understanding of genetics and molecular biology.
- BS in biology or related field OR equivalent combination of education and laboratory experience.
- Experience with molecular biology procedures such as DNA and RNA preparations, gel electrophoresis, and PCR.
- Skills in working with laboratory equipment and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Must be willing to work safely with radioactive isotopes.
- Manual and visual dexterity for manipulating worms and identifying developmental stages.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
- Background check is mandatory.
