Job Overview
BioLegend is seeking a highly motivated Product Development Research Associate to join its Diagnostic Product Development Team. This position will actively participate in the development of flow cytometry reagents for diagnostic use. Responsibilities include performing experiments, analyzing and reporting results, troubleshooting, and managing documentation. After three months in this role, candidates should be able to work independently on flow cytometry experiments, data analysis, and documentation.
Research Associate Jobs – Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and handle biological samples (human blood, animal tissues, and mammalian cell lines).
- Perform Flow Cytometry experiments, Cell Biology experiments, and/or other experiments as required.
- Analyze results and maintain clear and accurate documentation following ISO requirements.
- Monitor project progress.
- Maintain facilities, lab equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Engage in other projects or responsibilities as required.
Eligibility Criteria Required For Research Associate Jobs
- Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences-related field.
- At least 1 year of working experience in a research laboratory or industry.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with flow cytometry.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with cell culture.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in multi-color flow cytometry and data analysis.
- Previous experience in diagnostic product development, preferably in a GMP environment.
- Basic understanding of immunology, hematology, and oncology.
The hourly pay for this position will vary by level, as BioLegend is open to considering candidates at Research Associate I, II, or III depending on experience and qualifications. The anticipated hourly range for a Research Associate I in this role is $22.00 – $29.00 per hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
