Exciting opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2025 Global Internship Program as a Research & Development Laboratory Assistant in San Diego, CA!
As a Labcorp intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that complement an education in STEM+ Business and Healthcare disciplines and are inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe.
We offer paid internships for current students in a variety of degree programs such as biological related sciences, chemistry related sciences, animal science, computer science, healthcare, and business/marketing.
What you can expect as a Labcorp intern:
In 2024, we hosted more than 250 internships globally. During your 12-week full-time assignment, you can expect:

Responsibilities:
- Prepare DNA sample extractions by automation method, perform PCR, ddPCR, NGS, or other methods required for the assigned projects
- Learn independently design experiments, prepare and analyze data, and conduct basic troubleshooting
- Communicate effectively and work efficiently with team members across R&D to support product development
- Present data/results in R&D scientific team meeting
Qualifications:
- Currently attending and enrolled full-time in an accredited undergraduate program pursuing a biology or science-related major
- Experience with laboratory work is preferred but not required
- Communication skills combined with the ability to organize and present scientific results
Pay Range: $17.00 – $20.00/hour
