Job Description
The Research Technician will play a crucial role in the Biobank and Pathology Core Facility, which is essential for research involving human tissue. Responsibilities include processing surgical specimens, entering clinical data into biospecimen databases, and collaborating with pathology teams. This position provides an opportunity to develop novel protocols and improve biobanking software solutions.
Research Technician Jobs – Key Responsibilities
- Process human surgical specimens following specific SOPs and protocols.
- Extract clinical information and enter data in biospecimen databases.
- Collaborate with surgical pathology processing teams.
- Develop novel protocols for specimen procurement.
- Independently design and implement new protocols for biospecimen collection.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement activities.
- Work with IT to enhance biobanking software solutions.
- Utilize database tools for inventory management.
Eligibility Criteria For Research Technician Jobs
- BA/BS in a relevant scientific field (e.g., biochemistry, molecular biology).
- Prior experience in a biological laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of anatomy/physiology and medical records is a plus.

Additional Information

- Pay Range: $26.77 – $40.05
- FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
