Location: San Diego, California
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Scientist 2 to join our team on a contract basis in San Diego, California. This role offers a competitive salary range of $35.50 – $44.25 per hour with regular work hours from 9 to 5.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and conducting experiments utilizing various techniques
- Extraction and analysis of nucleic acids from different sources
- Maintaining detailed documentation of laboratory observations
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues in experiment execution
- Independently planning and executing experiments based on priorities
Qualifications:
Position Requirements:
- Experience with nucleic acid extraction, qualification, and quantification
- Strong collaborative skills across different disciplines
- Effective communication abilities in diverse environments
- Proficiency in designing and analyzing experiments with appropriate controls
- Cell culture experience and sterile technique expertise
Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Proficiency in flow cytometry and single-cell RNA-seq
- Knowledge of bacterial culture and bioburden testing
Skills:
Molecular Biology, GLP (Good Laboratory Practice)
