Intern – Research
POSITION SUMMARY:
Scripps Research is seeking an Intern Research to support the Molecular Medicine Department. Interns receive occupational experience, closely supervised training and are able to develop their professional skills. Duties include basic laboratory maintenance such as glassware washing; autoclaving; media, solution, and buffer prep; replenish supplies and follow experimental procedures assigned by laboratory staff.
Part-time: Up to 19 hours per week.
This position is not eligible for benefits.
This is a year-round position, not a summer intern or other short-term internship.
REQUIREMENTS:
- This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.
- Requires current enrollment in either a high school or college/university educational program. Undergraduate enrolled in a relevant scientific program, e.g., biological or life science, strongly preferred. Must be willing to handle animals.
