Position Summary:
Based in the UK, Cambridge, this position offers hybrid, onsite, or remote work options. Our team is seeking a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist with exceptional deep learning, AI, and bioinformatics skills to work on developing novel deep learning algorithms for deciphering genetic variants in the human genome.
Responsibilities Include:
- Leading the development of novel algorithms to decipher the human genetic code
- Diagnosing pathogenic genetic variants by combining clinical phenotypes and genomic data
- Leading scientific collaborations with academic, nonprofit, and industry partners
- Publishing and disseminating methods and findings
Requirements:
- Expertise in deep learning, statistics, and genomics
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver on complex projects
Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:
- MD or PhD in computer science, genetics, computational biology, or related field
